Delete your data
Your account is yours to close. You can delete your Plinked account and content at any time — right from the app, or by asking us. Here's exactly how, and what happens.
Delete from inside the app
The quickest way:
- Open Plinked on your iPhone.
- Tap your profile avatar (top-left) to open Profile.
- Go to Account.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
That's it — your account and content are scheduled for deletion right away.

Can't get into the app? Email us from the address on your account and we'll take care of it.

What gets deleted
- Your account and profile, including your handle.
- The photos you've submitted and the reactions you've sent.
- Your friend connections and your membership in games.
Because a Plinked game is a shared moment, removing your photos may change games other people were part of. We delete your content; we don't delete other people's photos or their account on your behalf.
How long it takes
Deletion begins as soon as you confirm (or as soon as we verify an emailed request). Your content is removed from the live service promptly, and purged from backups within 30 days as part of our normal backup cycle. We may retain a minimal record where the law requires it — for example, to handle disputes or meet legal obligations — and nothing more than necessary.
A few things to know
- Deletion is permanent — deleted content can't be recovered.
- If you only want a break, you can leave or archive games instead of deleting your account.
- Deleting your Plinked account doesn't remove the app from your device or affect your Apple ID. Remove the app and your TestFlight build separately if you'd like.
