Privacy Policy

Plinked is built to be small and private by default. Your photos are only ever seen by the friends in your game, we don't sell your data, and you can delete everything whenever you like.

The short version. We collect the little we need to run the game — your account, the photos you choose to submit, and the reactions you send. Photos stay sealed until everyone's in and are never public. No ads, no data brokers, no selling. You can delete your account and content at any time.

What we collect

Account information

When you sign in — typically with Sign in with Apple — we receive an identifier for your account and, if you choose to share it, an email address (which may be a private Apple relay address). You also pick a handle (your @username) so friends can find and recognise you.

Content you create

The photos you submit to a game and the reactions you send. We store these so the game can work — to seal them until everyone's in, reveal them to the people in that game, and show the recap.

Friends & games

The connections you make (who you've added) and the games you're part of, so we can show you the right rounds and route photos to the right small group.

Technical & diagnostic data

Basic device and app information — app version, device model, OS version, and crash or performance logs — used to keep the app stable. During the TestFlight beta, Apple also collects certain diagnostics on our behalf.

How we use it

Your photos & who sees them

This is the part that matters most, so we'll be plain about it:

What we never do

Who we share with

We use a small number of service providers strictly to run Plinked, under agreements that limit them to that purpose:

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Plinked and its users.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and content while your account is active. Photos and reactions live with their game; archiving a game keeps it available to you, while deleting your account removes your content as described below. Some limited diagnostic logs are retained for a short period and then deleted or anonymised.

Your choices & rights

You can access and update your handle and profile in the app. You can leave games and archive them. You can delete your account and associated content at any time — see Delete your data for exactly how, and what gets removed. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or export your data; contact us and we'll help.

Children

Plinked isn't directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll remove it.

Changes to this policy

As Plinked grows out of beta, this policy may change. When it does, we'll update the date at the top and, for material changes, let you know in the app. Continuing to use Plinked after an update means you accept the revised policy.
